SLEEPER is a three-women narrative play that can best be called a thriller. It has received an invitation-only reading sponsored by Minnesota Writers’ Alliance, and on March 31, 2012, will receive a reading at Rochester Repertory Theatre. The reading will be at 7 pm with a critique session afterwards. It’s free and open to the public.
Susan Stensland doesn’t know the history of the old Folk Victorian house she has moved into. Her young neighbor, who claims to be a mystic, is eager to make the spirits of the house “talk.” After a series of strange events and frightening disappearances, Susan discovers the tragic event that occured in the house 50 years ago, but she is caught in the evil force that inhabits the house. The outcome is shocking.
The show requires a very minimal setting, and is perfect for black box theatres.
